Sasha Pivovarova in printed tee – Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists?

Dior Ready-To-Wear Spring Summer 2018 advertising campaign had recently been launched and the model chosen was Sasha Pivovarova. She’s a model and artist who opened the Dior Spring Summer 2018 show with jeans and T-shirt.

The Dior Spring Summer 2018 advertising campaign was inspired by the 1960’s. Maria Grazia Chiuri’s primary source of inspiration for this collection was to reminisce the creative process of Niki De Saint Phalle.

Sasha Pivovarova can definitely express this campaign well. Her spirit was artistic, feminine and cheekily playful. She drew portraits of women with angular faces ad large mesmerising eyes. The portraits are all very personal to her as they reflect her emotions. Sasha poses for Patrick Demarchelier in a photography studio, surrounded by her finished drawings or in the act of making them.

Last but not least, I’m also sharing some of Dior Ready To Wear Spring Summer 2018 pieces sighted at the recent show in Paris. Great way to start getting some inspiration and do your own mix and match.
