Recently, I was looking for a place to do a video shoot and found The RuMa Hotel & Residences fits the occasion, so I booked the Deluxe Suite. I couldn’t help, but to feel satisfied by end of the day, knowing that I found the perfect location for my work; it’s like working from home. Let me give you a short tour through this post.

SELAMAT DATANG
Selamat Datang means Welcome in the Malay language. The RuMa Hotel & Residences do take this seriously and I couldn’t help, but to feel proud of our Malaysian hospitality exuding from this hotel.
Typically, almost all hotels’ check-in time is 3pm and you would require to check out by noon. Not at The RuMa Hotel & Residences. They have a 24 hour check in/out policy. My shoot started at 8:30am, so I requested to check in at 8am and the arrangement was done without any issues. They were totally fine with the timing, as long as I check out 24 hours later.
COMFORT IN YOUR HOME
As I walked into my Deluxe Suite, the ambiance felt like home. The lounge area was my favorite place in the entire room. If it’s not because of work, I think I’ll just lounge here the entire day and enjoy all the drinks in the mini bar and some local fruits served. The mini bar is replenished every day, including that bottle of Pinot!
The next room is the bedroom and living room. I just couldn’t help, but to try out the bed. I can truly say that the bed is blissful. It’s one of those things that, if you don’t open the blinds, you can lay on it the entire day.
If you choose not to lay in bed the entire day, you can lounge around the living room with a cup of coffee and enjoy the remarkable KL Twin Towers view. A room with a view like this, what else could I ask for?
The shower room has the same view as the living. Nothing could be better than relaxing and soaking in the tub, with a bottle of champagne by the end of the day and enjoying the magnificent view.
CENTRALISE LOCATION
The RuMa Hotel & Residences is located right in the heart of the city. It’s a walking distance to Bukit Bintang and prominent malls, such as Pavilion and KLCC.
Since Kuala Lumpur is still a young and ever growing city, there are a few constructions going on beside the hotel. Yet, the insulation was so great that it was very quiet in the room, day and night. I couldn’t hear the traffic or noise from the construction throughout the entire video shoot.
LEISURE AND WORK
The RuMa Hotel & Residences is not only a great place to stay for leisure but if you’re here in Kuala for work, you should really look into this hotel too. The internet is fast and it’s complimentary! Unlike some 5 star hotels, you do have to pay for fast internet.
Will I come back here for a staycation? Absolutely! I have yet to try UR spa and the bar, as I was occupied with work the entire day. When the work was over, I bought dinner for my better half at ATAS Modern Malaysian Eatery. We had the Traditional Dishes and the food was scrumptious.
Overall, I’m very pleased with the service in this hotel. By the time I checked out, it was already late at night. The staff that attended to me in the morning knew that I was there the entire day. He sent me off to the car and wished me a good night. Now, that’s what I call hostmanship!
They say “home is where the heart is”, and I definitely have my heart with The RuMa Hotel & Residences.
