San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice

by
Today, I’m bringing you to this tiny island in Venice called San Giorgio Maggiore. During my visit to Venice in end November, I was blessed with many days of great weather. Couldn’t be more thankful for the sun-shiny days. There’s a beautiful monastery in this island and we went up to the bell tower of San Giorgio Maggiore church. If you’re visiting Venice, do pay a visit to this island and go up to the bell tower. You’ll get the most amazing view of Piazza San Marco and Venice.

Panoramic pictures of Venice from the bell tower and on the boat.

How can one go to Venice and not ride on the gondola? Its a must!! The only thing that I wish my gondola man does was sang for us =D He was really good and filled us with so much information about the history of Venice.

This is the oldest church in Venice
This used to be San Marco’s home.
Here we are, the famous bridge of Venice. The Rialto Bridge
And of course, I have to see it for real the venue where George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin got married, and so here it is! They tied the knot in Hotel Aman Canal Grande Venice. A very luxurious resort.
Got to end the day on a sweet note. This dessert wine is one of the best I’ve had in Italy!
I’ll show you more of this church in my next post. Santa Maria della Salute.

Thank you for reading my post and I hope you’ve enjoyed the pictures. Sorry if I’ve bombarded you with tonnes of pictures. I really love every single one of them and Venice is really beautiful! You can follow more of my journey to Venice here. Have a great weekend =)
