Mod Moment

by
I bought this jacket when I was in Florence, Italy. We were in SPACE, a Prada and Miu Miu Outlet about 45 minutes out of Florence. This mod-style denim jacket from Miu Miu was definitely a great bargain. It’s about 50% off from the actual retail price. There was another shearling leather jacket from Prada which I worn here, was also bought at a cheaper price.
Peacoat/Jacket – Miu Miu (similar here and affordable version here)
Dress – Marc by Marc Jacobs (similar but spring version here)
Booties – Sergio Rossi (similar here & here)
Bag – Hermes
Mod is a culture and fashion style made popular in the late 1950s to the late 1960s. It originally came from the streets of London but now it’s popular throughout the world! 3 ways to create a mod style:
1. The color – It’s bold such as color-blocking, black and white, bright colors such as pink, orange and red. It consists of bold geometric patterns, polka dots and stripes.
2. Rebelious style – The style features form fitting clothings, unisex style and bold patterns.
3. Short hair and dramatic eye make-up. Think of Twiggy and nude lipsticks. Also, top things off with chunky accessories such as wedges, sunglasses and headbands.

What do you think of this style? Are you a mod girl?

Pictures were taken in Paris near to Galeries La Fayette.
