Travel – Mycenae, Greece

by
Since we were in Athens for Jenny’s &Yanni’s wedding (more pictures here), we took the opportunity to know Greece better. We’ve heard so much about this city and the history she has to offer. Why not?

We booked a tour to a historical town called Mycenae and along the way, we passed through several town. There’s one especially that hold alot more memories than others. That’s the town called Corinth. It relates to a chapter in the bible called Corinthians. Did not expect that 1 day, I’ll be able to go to a town which relates to the bible =)

I’ll share with you through the pictures I’ve taken and hope that you’ll enjoyed it. If you would like to know more about Greece, feel free to write to me at stilettoes.diva@gmail.com

At Corinth Canal. It is currently approximately 25feet wide and they’re
thinking of expanding it to 50ft so that more ships can get through

Outside the Tomb of Agamemnon. That horizontal piece of stone
weight about 120 tonnes! I wonder how the people back then put it up?
It was constructed in 1250 BC
Inside the Tomb of Agamemnon. There’s nothing left in there.
The treasures and even the King’s body was stolen.
Ruins of  Sanctuary of Asklepios at Epidaurus. Back then,
people come here for religious reason.
The theatre is marveled for its exceptional acoustic.
Our tour leader stood at the middle of the center-stage at the bottom and
started clapping. I can hear it from where I’m sitting now =)
The bus registered 45 Celsius and I definitely need a Cappuccino Frappé!
