Travel – Athens, Greece (Part 2)

by
I must say, the best way to get to know Athens is to take a tour through a Hop-On, Hop-Off bus. We bought our tickets through the Concierge at the hotel.  It’s pretty inexpensive. I think it’s €18 for 2 days. The operating hours are longer in the summer than in the winter. It’s weird for me, as the sun does not set in Greece till 9pm! We’ve been eating real late as well, because of this. That’s not normal for us and it’s pretty unhealthy because we go to bed right after dinner =P

2 things that you would need if you are to go on a Hop-On Hop-Off bus in the summer:       Sunglasses
  1. Sunglasses/Prescription sunglasses
  2. Sunblock
It’s going to be a hot or hotter journey if you would sit at the top of the bus. It can get pretty brutal when the bus stops and the wind stop blowing. Thank goodness I’ve my sunglasses with me or I won’t be able to keep my eyes open! Sitting at the top of the bus is cool. I get to take a lot of nice pictures along the way.  At one point, we had to stop for a cup of slushy, as the heat was just unbearable. The Lemon slushy was gooooood!!
