“Being my first foray into plastic footwear, I wanted to play with the concept of inflatable pool toys” Jeremy Scott

This August, Melissa, the Brazilian plastic footwear brand, launches their latest collection with visionary designer, Jeremy Scott in Kuala Lumpur. “It’s been a joy to watch my ideas translated by their expert team and to be able to bring to life designs that are not only high fashion, but affordable too” said Jeremy Scott.

Together with Melissa, Scott has created five signature styles in bold, bright and vivid hues that pop. The new styles from the collection feature a rubber mouthpiece used to ‘inflate’ the shoes. The styles that Jeremy designed consist of ankle boots, flats, sandal, mule and even Mini Melissa. Furthermore, the design of these shoes together with Melissa’s trademark bubblegum scented plastic, it’ll definitely bring an edge to any outfit.

Also, you’ve to check out the adorable Mini Melissa Monkey Boots that features an adorable monkey face with fluttery eyelashes! I couldn’t get my eyes off it. If only they have it in adult sizes, I’ll give my money willingly.

Last but not least, here are some of the pictures from the launch last Monday. It was held in the biggest club in Kuala Lumpur, called Zouk. The main room was decorated with pop of colors, the models were styled by our local designer Kitty Yiyi and even the songs were from the 80s and 90s. Definitely brought back so much fun memories for me. I also added in a picture of what I wore to the event.
