#LFW – Burberry AW16 Collection (A Patchwork)

by
Just last week, Burberry showcased their Autumn Winter 16 collections called “A Patchwork” at London’s Kensington Gardens. The show was accompanied by a live performance by award-winning British musician Jake Bugg. The womenswear collection features a mix of patterns and textures influenced by British artists, musician and history.

Burberry introduces their latest addition to their accessories with The Patchwork bags and The Buckle Boots, inspired by their iconic trench coat’s belt buckle. Mainly, textures and fabrics used for the apparels includes glossy python, metallic floral, python-trim shearling, brushed wool mohair checks and hand-sewn sequin floral.

Those Buckle Boots are to-die-for!! They’re inspired by the distinctive patchwork details present throughout the collection and by the classic wellington boot. The structured ankle boots comes in snakeskin and rubberised leather with a raised heel and accentuated thread.

Burberry has taken its Womenswear February 2016 collection to its 121 Regent Street flagship store and subsequently move to the Burberry Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré store in Paris on 1 March. Selected outerwear and bags from the collection can be purchased and personalised on Burberry.com until 7 March. You can watch the show again here
