Pampered By La Mer

by

I should actually start the post with “SPOILT BY LA MER” instead. I was given a treat to be pampered by La Mer’s facial and it was such a blessing! It was a much needed treat that came at the right time. At first, when I was told that the facial does not have extraction, I was wondering if I was going to feel completely clean. I’m from South East Asia and blackhead extraction is a common thing here. After the facial, I had a very different perspective towards the whole experience. Continue to read what I’ve to share below and you’ll get a rough idea about this whole La Mer facial experience.

Products of La Mer

1. Got there and was greeted with a warm and welcoming smile by Sinyi, the Chief Therapist. She sat me down and asked about my skin’s concerns. I told her it was hydration and to lighten my scars from previous acnes.

2. She explained about the different La Mer facials, which were based on their serums.

  • The Concentrate
  • Lifting Contour Serum
  • The Radiant Serum
  • The Generating Serum
  • Lifting Intensifier
  • Blanc De La Mer Whitening Serum

3. Sinyi picked The Concentrate for my massage based on my concerns. She also mentioned that during the facial, there will be no conversation and if I have any questions or concerns, I can voice it out after the facial. (I love this! I can fully enjoy the facial without feeling like there’s some sort of sales going on while I’m enjoying my massage)

4. There were no machines used during the facial. All the steps were manual which included kneading, gliding and wave strokes. I loved the firm touch from Sinyi. It was so calm and quiet during the facial.

I can do this type of Monday Blues any day =)

5. During the mask session, an eye massage was given. Sinyi used 2 rods to put pressure on my eye areas. At first, when she placed pressure on certain areas, it was a little sore and I realised that those are the areas that were really tired. It was probably due to starring at the computer for long periods time. My eyes felt so relaxed after the massage. I didn’t know how long the eye massage was, as I kind of doze off at the end of the facial. (I’m such a sucker for massage)

6. After the facial, I was served with organic tea and Sinyi explained in detail which items that were used during the facial. La Mer’s facials are 75 minutes each and their prices are:

  • Each = RM349
  • 3 Facials = RM795
  • 6 Facials = RM1431

7. Currently, there are 4 counters in Malaysia – Metrojaya Mid Valley, Parkson Pavilion KL, Isetan KLCC and Isetan One Utama, only the Metrojaya Mid Valley offers facials. You can make an appointment today by calling Sinyi at +603 2284 1170

I would rate my facial 4.9/5. The reason is because I wish the massage would be longer, like 2 hours instead of 75 minutes (yea, wishful thinking here). Overall, I highly recommend a La Mer facial for anyone that need some pampering and relaxation. I wouldn’t recommend anyone with acne prone skin though, as there’s no extraction during the process. La Mer does offer facials for men too, so you can consider buying it as a present for your love ones as well.

Do you pamper yourself with facials frequently? Have you been pampered by La Mer’s facial before?
