Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong

I’m sure many of you have heard of the world tallest hotel. Yup! It is no other than Ritz Carlton Hong Kong. I was there in Spring (March particularly) and I can literally say that I was “On Top Of The World” =)

The building itself is called ICC (International Convention Centre)  and there’s 118 levels in total. Most of the floors below Ritz Carlton are offices. Starting from Level 103, which is also the hotel’s lobby, they’re filled with luxurious rooms that comes with a majestic view. I can tell you 6 reasons why I love Ritz Carlton Hong Kong.

1. Convenient for those who flew in to Hong Kong
We took a train from Hong Kong International Airport straight into ICC. We had to walk a little when we got there. We walked pass the train station, a mall and then the lobby of ICC before we can get to Level 103 which was the lobby. It took us a good 15 minutes. If you have a lot of luggage, I would suggest you take a cab from the airport.

2. Room with a majestic view
What more should I elaborate on this point? I’m on top of the world! Tallest hotel in the world baybeh!! Although, it would be great if it’s not so cloudy outside. It’s Spring time so there’s a change in weather and it gets really cloudy due to the hot and cold weather. Probably if you visit in Summer, the view should be much clearer and you get the see the spectacular night view of Hong Kong.

3. The heavenly bed
This is one thing I look forward to actually. I love a comfortable bed when I’m travelling. I think it’s very important to get a good night rest especially when you’re on a vacation. The down feather pillows was just heavenly. Couldn’t ask for more.

4. Quality and well kept amenities
I love coffee and when the room provides you endless refills of Nespresso coffee, Ritz Carlton has just shown me unconditional love =) Oh, and those Asprey shower gel, the scent’s divine =)

5. Fine food with Michelin Stars
My bf and I heard so much about the fine dining in Ritz Carlton so we decided to dine there one afternoon. Tin Lung Heen is a Chinese Restaurant and a proud owner of 2-star Michelin in Ritz Carlton. The dim sum’s definitely savory and everything is so well presented. The aroma from the food was just so good that I didn’t even had a chance to take pictures of it. I guess there’s no food pictures from me =)

6. Spa
Need I say more? Don’t think so. Definitely every woman or maybe almost every woman’s need. The spa is huge and I’m glad my therapist guide me to and out of the room. Else I’ll be lost in the maze of rooms. I signed up for a 90 minutes massage but it took me about 3 hours before I got back to my hotel room. Why so long? Erm….lounging with magazines, juices and a great view? Just enjoying a good “me-time”.

7. Shopping Center is just an elevator away
Elements is a large shopping center which is located in ICC itself. I would say it’s a mixture of high end and high street type of mall. There’s many reputable brands like Chanel, LV, Prada, Cartier, 7 For All Mankind, Giorgio Armani Beauty Store, Karen Millen and etc. I took the opportunity to buy a lipstick from Giorgio Armani because they’re not in Malaysia anymore =(

I would also love to highlight on the Concierge’s service. I’ve always thought Four Seasons’s Concierge services are great but Ritz Carlton Hong Kong ones were just as good. If you had a chance to catch Billy Chan (Asst. Chief Concierge), you’ll be in good hands. To rate my stay from the scale of 1 – 10 with 10 being the best, I would rate 9. The one point short went to the drinks we ordered in OZONE, the highest bar in the world. The view and environment of the bar overpowered the drinks presented. I ordered a cocktail but the alcohol was a little too strong for my liking. Apart from that, I love this place.
