Travel – Bali

by
I was in Bali end February for a birthday celebration. It was a fun trip with all my coolest friends. I think this is the fourth time I’ve visited Bali but, this was the first time with so many people. It never gets old visiting Bali. Each time, there’s different sort of fun.

This time around, one of my friend booked the whole villa and we had a blast in that house! This place is called Villa Awang Bali, and it is a 4 bedroom luxury villa with individual bathrooms. As we have 5 couples altogether, they turned the TV room into a bedroom as well. The driver picked us up from the airport which is about 45 minutes away (including traffic). We even had our own chef and cleaner! Oh yeah!! Personal chef is upon request and we had to pay for the food but we were definitely willing to do so. There’s no restaurant near by but there’s a grocery store and I must say things sold there were not cheap. So my advise would be, if you’re booking this hotel, please get drinks, alcohol and snacks from town before heading to this villa.

Let me take you for a villa tour. We stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights. After that, it was so hard for us to leave! You’ll know what I mean after looking at these pictures.

We had our massage by the pool. How cool’s that? =)
The first night we had dinner in the villa and after that, it was party time! Booze and dance all night long =D We even jumped in the pool in the middle of the night! LOL! We were like kids all over again. Stress free and just a bunch of adults with no Monday blues. Sometimes everyone of us need to have breaks like that to keep ourselves sane.
On the 2nd night, we went Jimbaran for a candlelight dinner and walked around Kuta. Kuta is the main town in Bali. It’s busy day and night with lots of bars and restaurants.
On the 3rd day, we went to Ubud for lunch and did some souvenir shopping. Before that, we had lunch at Bebek Bengil and I must say the food was good! Maybe cos we were really hungry.
We sat in huts, just like those in the pictures, for lunch. It rained before that and the weather was really nice.
After lunch, we got some tan in the sun. Believe it or not, I even did some paddling on the boat. Hah!
My happy friend in the sun =)
I wanna be a millionaire, so freaking baaaaaaaaad!! =D
Saying goodbye to this villa was hard. It’s a beautiful place and it’s great for time with friends and lots of booze =) (picture’s source)

The only down side visiting Bali around February is the monsoon rain. We had downpours for 2 days and
the rain goes on and on. I would say the best time to visit Bali would be around May to September. The weather is mainly warm and sunny during this time and lots of surfers would flock to Bali too as the peninsula create some of the best waves.
