Valentine’s Day Times Two

by

The reason why I named this post Valentine’s Day times two is because, it so happen to be a day of love in the lunar calendar as well. The Chinese celebrates the 15th day of the New Year today and on this day, the singles will gather by the ponds or river. Reason why they chose anywhere near the water, because oranges and apples will be thrown into the river and sea. Apparently, the older generations had a saying “Ladies that throw oranges, you might have a chance to marry a good man. As for the men, throwing apples give you a chance to meet and keep a good wife”. There is also another option, which is throwing stones. Saying goes “Throwing stones will lead you to owning big bungalow homes in the future”.

So what am I going to do on this special day? Well, besides throwing stones into the river behind my home, nothing much I guess. LOL! *just kidding*. Mr W and myself do not specifically celebrate Valentine’s Day. We share and show our love each and every day. We don’t wait till today to send expensive flowers and eat set meals at the restaurants. I’m always very thankful to God that he has given me so much and most of all, had given me someone so caring and compassionate. What about you? What are you doing on Valentine’s Day?

Did you remember the post when I mentioned my shopping spree at Tod’s (post here)? The other pair of footwear which I bought is this ankle boots. It’s half suede and half patented leather. I guess it will be a challenge to take care of it but I really like how it looks on me. What do you think?
