Travel – Last Look At Dubai & A True Desert Experience

by
If you haven’t been following my Dubai trip, you can check it out here & here.

On the last day of our tour, we visited a few places like Hotel Al Arab which is a 5 star hotel and also The Palm Island. Since we went with tour, it was kind of a rush and we didn’t even stay more than 20 minutes at the famous Hotel Atlantis. I was kind of disappointed but that’s the best that we can get for going with a tour group.

The icing on the cake for me that day was to experience the desert. FOR REAL! When we were done with the city tour, we were dropped off at the hotel to change and few 4WD came to picked us up to visit the desert. It was a cool experience to sit in the 4WD and ride it like a roller coaster in a desert. We were warned not to open the window and puke in the car during the drive. Well…we tried not to puke though. It was rough!

When the roller coaster ride in a 4WD was over, we were transported to a village. There was a lot of activities going on at the village such as smoking Sisha (Smoke Pipes), Camel rides, sand boarding, ATV rides and finally a show during dinner. I even uploaded a video of how cool that show was. This guy just keep twirling non-stop for almost 15 minutes! That’s just crazy. I hope you’ll enjoy the pictures and video.

Burj Al Arab

We stopped by at Jumeirah Souk for a short break.
I thought this was only sold in Greece!
The blue eyes that case away evil spirit, as they believe.
Visiting The Palm Island and waiting for the train.
Trump was suppose to build a tower here at The Palm Island but due to the economic crisis,
he decided not to invest in it anymore.
How cool is this? You get your own beach right in front of your home if you own a house here.
Heard that The Beckham’s family own a house here 😉
The famous Atlantis Hotel
I’ve never seen a vending machine where you can buy a gold as souvenir.
Now I’ve seen one =D
We only get to stop for like 10 minutes so this is what I get from The Atlantis
as a souvenir =D
I think this building is cool. It twirls!
This is the tallest building in Dubai…30 years ago.
Experiencing the desert!
This is our 4WD and our driver was Sulaiman and he’s crazy!! But I must say he definitely have experience in handling this thing in the desert.
With the rest of the 4WDs
We just came down from that slope and waiting for that car now. It’s beyond crazy!
We were finally dropped-off at the Hormuz Village. I’m about to puke already by now.
A nice sunset in the desert.
We had BBQ for dinner! Yuuumm…
It gets cold at night!
