Travel – Abu Dhabi

by

If you haven’t seen my 1st part of Dubai’s tour, click here.

Today I’m showing you some pictures of Abu Dhabi. This is my first time there and I’m really impressed with the clean city. We took a bus ride for about 1.5 hours from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. Our first stop is Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque. Even though I’m from a country where there’s quite a lot of mosque but women are not allowed to get into a mosque. So, this is my 1st time ever visiting a mosque and literally stepped into one. It’s definitely an eye opener.
We also stopped by the Ferrari World on our way back to Dubai. It was only like a 15 minutes stop so we didn’t do much but took some pictures for remembrance sake. Well, here goes! Enjoy the pictures and I’ll try to bring you through my journey =)
Btw, I don’t think you’ve seen me in flats, like ever, in my blog. I mean boots does not count. Here’s the 1st time! =D It’s easier to move around with the flats actually.
Top – Tommy Hilfiger (worn here too)

Jeans – 7 For All Mankind (New and similar here)

My Miu Miu bag travelling with me for the 1st time =)

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
The sheikh wanted to build this mosque for his nation to come together and pray.
Such a magnificent sight don’t you think?
Engraved dome and ceiling.
The wall was created to give a garden-feel for this mosque.
These are tiny marbles stick together to form this beautiful pattern.
These marbles are imported from many places and 1 that I can remember is Italy.
Such beautiful colored glasses
This is the most beautiful thing in the mosque I think. The beautiful 9 tonnes chandelier that hung down from the
ceiling on the main hall. There’s 3 chandeliers in the main hall.
The shiny carvings on the wall is actually crafted with white gold! Can’t believe
how grand it is!!
This carpet is actually hand woven by a lot of women in the world and it took them
3 years to get this big piece done. Amazing!
Definitely worthwhile discovering this place in real life =)
Emirates Palace – A conference center and 5 star hotel.
I was running away from the camel because it starts to turn it’s head towards me while nibbling!! LOL!!
I dont see the camel doing that to the owner.. Btw, the cloth on the tent is actually made out of camel hair.
The scorpions are afraid of the camel hair. Now I know…
Stopped for only 15 minutes at Ferrari World. Wish it could’ve been longer so I can go on the rides..
Oh well…a picture of the real F1 Ferrari car is good too =)
