Yesterday was Mid-Autumn Festival for the Chinese. My family (parents, aunts, uncles and cousins) got together and have a long lunch. I realise that the only thing that we didn't eat was moon cakes. In fact, we had so much of it and I think we had enough. We use to even lit up lanterns with candles at night and hung it around our garden and trees. We would use boxes of candles to lit up the walkway and Koi pond.
Guess we outgrew that. After lunch we just sat and chat over coffee and tea. Looking back, I kind of miss my childhood days where everything is so carefree and we just seize the day. Life could be just so simple.
