Travel – Crete, Greece (Part 3)

by

Have you ever walked 16km downhill before? Ok, maybe you have but I’ve not and thanks to my wonderful bf who signed up for this adventure at Samaria Gorge National Park without knowing that we have to walk the distance! We woke up at 530am to go on the bus and we discovered that we need to walk at this gorge for 16km and downhill. Since we have already signed up for this, I guess there’s no turning back.

I must say the view of this gorge is indeed breathtaking but so is the walk!! It indeed took my breath away! Here’s some photos to share. By the way, my legs turned jell-o by the end of the day and it took me 5 days to recover from the ache…damn! Despite the pain I went through, it was indeed special to be there because Samaria Gorge celebrate it’s 50th year as a National Park this year.
